How to Know the Right Sun Remedies and Timing
Both the house and sign in which the Sun resides influence its expression and impact on one’s life. Sun Mahadasha and the transits of large planets over the Sun, especially Saturn, Rahu, Jupiter, and Ketu are periods that can benefit from the right remedies.
The Sun’s weak position in Libra often signals challenges related to ego and leadership, which may require remedies. Afflictions caused by malefic planets like Saturn and Ketu are potent, as the nodes have a powerful influence on the luminaries—Ketu especially weakening the Sun’s energy, just as Rahu does to the Moon. Saturn’s 7th aspect (opposition) to the Sun is a critical placement in the chart or major transit which can intensify challenges, including the health.
As with other planets, the goal is to discern whether one needs to stimulate or pacify the Sun’s effects.

- The Solar Plexus (Manipura) Chakra Mudra focuses on awakening the energy center associated with willpower, confidence, and metabolic health. By directing prana to the area of the liver, spleen, and pancreas, this mudra supports internal purification, digestion, and emotional resilience—qualities aligned with the Sun’s radiant nature.
- Surya Mudra, or the Mudra of the Sun, is performed by gently folding the ring finger (associated with the earth element) toward the palm and pressing it down with the thumb (representing fire). The other fingers remain extended and relaxed. This simple yet potent gesture increases the fire element in the body, helping boost metabolism, digestion, and inner warmth. Practicing this mudra for 15–30 minutes daily, especially during meditation or breathwork, may uplift your mood, enhance focus, and combat fatigue—making it a natural ally for restoring energy and purpose.
Solar Crystals
Crystals like Citrine, Sunstone, and Pyrite are energetically aligned with the Sun’s qualities of confidence, clarity, and personal power.
